With over 30 years of experience in the Electric Utility sector, I specialize in Electric Distribution Design and Construction, leveraging my deep expertise in designing, maintaining, and managing electrical distribution systems. My career is built on a foundation of delivering high-quality, efficient, and sustainable solutions, with a focus on ensuring that power systems meet the evolving needs of communities and businesses.

Currently, I just retired as the Lead Electric Distribution Designer at Austin Energy, where I oversaw multiple design teams, ensuring that large-scale projects adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. I’m skilled in power system calculations, voltage drop optimization, and producing construction drawings, all while managing budgets and resources to deliver timely and cost-effective solutions.

Previously, I have held roles ranging from Senior Distribution Designer to Distribution Electrician, where I led teams, improved network reliability, and developed long-term growth plans for infrastructure. My experience spans hands-on field work, team leadership, and strategic planning for city expansions and major developments.

As a passionate mentor and trainer, I enjoy fostering a culture of learning and technical growth within my teams, helping junior designers and electricians develop their skills for the future. My technical expertise is complemented by a commitment to professional growth, as evidenced by my ongoing education in AutoCAD and several certifications in safety and utility management.
